Design Build Process
Step One: Design Consultation
Every project starts with an initial design consultation with owner, Russ Lyons. The consultation typically takes place on site but may start with a phone call. Here we will discuss the vision and scope of your upcoming project and begin to develop the design concept that will be fleshed out in subsequent steps.
Step Two: Creative Concept, Materials Selection and Estimate
Next, we will develop and present a few creative design concept drawings along with a variety of material options (stone, pavers, wall materials, lighting etc.) we would recommend for your project. These recommendations will be tailored to your vision for the project, your design preferences, the physical conditions of the site and your stated budget. Based on these conversations, we will go away and develop a final detailed estimate/budget and provide an official proposal. You have the option of requesting a detailed 3D visual rendering/construction plan showing exactly what the finished project will look like, its construction methodology, and the materials to be used. Please note: The fee for producing this rendering/construction plan is typically $1,500-$2,000. That fee is waived if you choose to award the project to Lyons Landscape/Hardscape.
Step Three: Design and Budget Finalization and Contract
At the culmination of the design stage, Lyons will provide a detailed line item construction proposal, schedule, quote and contract for your project. Once signed and returned with the deposit, we will get underway and start bringing your vision to life!
Step Four: Construction Management
With direct oversight from Russ Lyons, your Project Manager and the Lyons team will manage all aspects of construction from start through finish. Our job is to ensure that your project achieves a successful outcome, remains faithful to design vision, is built to the highest standards, and is delivered on time and on budget. Our highly personal, customer-focused approach means you can expect to develop a close working relationship with the team. One built around professionalism, respect and good communication.
